Members of Party of National Unity, PNU, Isiolo branch, have castigated Members of Parliament who have made irresponsible remarks that has caused uproar among Kenyans.

Led by Isiolo PNU Chairman Moses Kithinji, the members blamed Kapseret Member of Parliament Oscar Sudi and his Emurua Dikirr counterpart Johanna Ng’eno for making detestable utterances against the President Uhuru Kenyatta’s mother, Mama Ngina Kenyatta.

Kithinji, want the MPs to desist from making irresponsible remarks that will lead this country into tribal clashes.

“We all remember what happened in 1992, 97 and 2007, where this country was almost burning because of bad politics,” Kithinji said.

Kithinji continued, “If politicians will not be tamed by the relevant bodies by taking necessary action against the said legislators, we will not save this country.”

According to Kithinji, not even the former prime minister who has ever dared to insult president’s mother.

He noted that insulting Mather to the president is equivalent to insulting all women in Kenya.

Moses Kimathi, alias Kimathi Soldier, want the Directorate of Criminal Investigation George Kinoti to take action against the duo and any other politician who make similar uncalled for statements.

He is also calling upon international Criminal Court prosecution officers to capture the names of those who are making such statements, in case any tribals clashes take place, prosecuting the perpetrators will be easy.

George Karithi, the party Member, want National Cohesion and Integration Commission led by Professor Samuel Kobia, to move with speed and take action against any politician involved in such utterances.

“The president is a leader of 50 million Kenyans and we love him. Nobody should drag him or his family into dirty politics,” Karithi said.

Paul Mero, PNU secretary Isiolo branch, said that he would not like to see what happened in 2007/8 repeat itself in 2022.

“Building a country takes long but breaking it can take only a day. If NCIC chairman will not take action, we will witness what happened after 2007 general elections come 2022,” Mero warned.
