Hildah Gakii, a 20-years old girl, who is an Orphan and dropped out of school while in form three, is calling for help to go back to school after moving out of streets of Isiolo town, where she has been for the last three years.

Gakii moved to the street from her Maili Tatu home, when her both parents and grandmother died in 2020.

She was left alone without anyone to look after her and made a decision to move to the street when she was 17-years old.

Two years later, Gakii became pregnant as she was spending nights with boys and men in the same places as she had no separate place to lay her head during the nights.

Her dream is always to go back to school and pursue law at Egerton University, a school of her dream since childhood.

However, she is thankful to God, that her late mother had taught her to pray and trusting God in all situations.

With her 7-month old girl, Gakii was taken by a good Samaritan by name Naomi who is now treating her like her own daughter.

Naomi, who is a mother of five daughters, is struggling to sustain Gakii too with her daughter, hoping one day things will be better as she is a low-income earner.

“I will keep Gakii and her daughter. I hope one day, help will come and she will go back to school as it is her dream,” Ms Naomi said.
